Tibbo Project System (TPS)

Take what you need. Leave out what you don't.
Embedded Computers

The Tibbo Project System (TPS) is a highly configurable and affordable industrial automation platform. Its flexibility is based on Tibbits® — miniature electronic blocks that implement specific I/O features. Need a particular I/O function? Install the right Tibbit. Have no use for something? There is no need to have it on your device.

This module-based approach saves you money by allowing you to precisely define the features you want in your programmable controller.

With TPS, we have completely rethought not just the hardware, but also the configuration and ordering process. Read on and see for yourself!

Start With a Tibbo Project PCB (TPP)

A Tibbo Project PCB is the foundation of your TPS device.

Available in Tibbo OS (TiOS) and Linux versions, as well as in two sizes, each board carries a CPU, memory, at least one Ethernet port, status LEDs, and numerous sockets for Tibbit modules and connectors.

Add Tibbit® Blocks

Tibbits (as in "Tibbo Bits") are blocks of prepackaged I/O functionality housed in brightly colored rectangular shells. Tibbits are subdivided into modules and connectors.

Want an ADC? There's a Tibbit module for that. 24V power supply? Got that! RS232/422/485 port? We have this, and many other modules, too.

The same goes for Tibbit connectors. DB9 Tibbit? Check. Terminal block? Check. Infrared receiver/transmitter? Got it. Temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors? On the list of available Tibbits as well!

Industrial computing

Assemble into a Tibbo Project Box (TPB)

Most projects require an enclosure. Designing one is a tough job. Making it beautiful is even more difficult and could also be prohibitively expensive.

Not to worry! Your TPS can be ordered with a Tibbo Project Box (TPB) kit.

The ingenious feature of the TPB is that Tibbit connectors form two of the sides. This eliminates one huge problem of any low-volume production operation — the necessity to drill holes and openings in an off-the-shelf enclosure. The result is a neat, professional-looking housing every time, even for projects with a production quantity of one.

When housed in a TPB equipped with the available vibration protection kit, TPS devices meet the shock and vibration resistance requirements of the IEC 60068-2-27 standard.

Develop your application

TPS2 and TPS3 devices (TPP2 and TPP3 boards) are powered by TiOS — our super-compact, agile operating system. Use Tibbo IDE (TIDE) software to create and debug TiOS applications in Tibbo BASIC, Tibbo C, or a combination of the two.

Our Linux-based TPS devices (LTPP3 and LTPP3(G2)) can be utilized and programmed in a multitude of ways. You can write an app in classical C language or fashionable Node.js.

AppBlocks Application Development Platform

No-code software development is the future because no one has the time to write and debug applications line-by-line.

Enters AppBlocks, our flowchart-based, no-code, in-browser application development system for Tibbo Project System devices.

In AppBlocks, supported features are represented by functional blocks, which you drag onto and interconnect inside a project canvas. This draw-an-application approach allows you to quickly create complete automation and IoT applications for security, access control, building automation, data collection, precision agriculture, and other fields.

An AppBlocks project produces both the TPS custom hardware configuration and its application. Custom configurations can be immediately ordered from tibbo.com.

If you are only looking to create a custom TPS configuration without generating a TPS application, you can also use our CODY Configurator hosted at tibbo.com.
