ICAM is based in Taiwan and manufactures intelligent message devices, surveillance products, as well as door access systems. One of their recent products is the SMSBOX. The SMSBOX is a controller/alarm data collector/short message (SMS) sending device. The product is based on the EM500 module and runs a Tibbo BASIC application developed by ICAM. According to ICAM, "the product development cycle was surprisingly short". The SMSBOX provides the user with the ability to receive alarm messages over the Internet or cellular network. As a smart alarm system, the SMSBOX offers a simple device monitoring function.
