We offer many ready-to-use apps, among them a serial-over-IP (SoI) app and Modbus Gateway app.

OEM and ODM Services

As we explain in our Corporate Profile, our expert knowledge in IoT hardware and software allows us to offer comprehensive and cost-effective application (software) development, system integration, full product development, and contract manufacturing services. We typically take on projects that can utilize our Tibbo Project System or can be based on our TiOS- or Linux-compatible circuitry. Occasionally, we accept projects that have nothing to do with our core business.

Contact us today to start a conversation about your product idea or a project you are working on. We respond fast, offer competitive pricing, and strive to be your trusted advisor throughout the development, as well as the entire lifecycle of your product.

Application (Software) Development

After having selected Tibbo hardware for their product or system, our customers often ask us to develop a software application for this hardware. This development is usually done in Tibbo BASIC and Tibbo C.

Asking Tibbo to develop an application usually makes a lot of sense, as it spares you, our customer, from the necessity to master the programming of Tibbo devices. Contracting Tibbo also means that you won’t have to expend valuable internal resources on developing the software. Also, since we have a lot of experience in developing Tibbo BASIC/C applications, we usually can finish the development faster than our customers, and in many cases, a lot cheaper too.

Please note that we only take on software development projects that are expected to result in the sales of our hardware.

System Integration

Tibbo is often asked to not only supply the hardware, but also create the necessary software and even select third-party hardware such as sensors, actuators, and other peripheral devices. We refer to such projects as system integration projects because they typically involve selecting and working with hardware and systems made by other companies. Unlike other integrators, Tibbo does not offer on-site installation services. This has to be handled by our clients or their subcontractors.

Here is the list of services we typically provide in the cause of a system integration project:

  • Consulting on the best ways of achieving the project’s objective. Ideation, help in working out the system’s specifications.
  • Selection of Tibbo products and third-party hardware that best fit the project requirements.
  • Design and production of additional hardware required to complete the project or modification of existing hardware to better suit the project’s needs.
  • Firmware (device application) development, usually in Tibbo BASIC and Tibbo C.
  • Application development for iOS and Android.
  • Remote support of workers deploying the system in the field.

Please note that we only take on system integration projects that involve Tibbo hardware.

As an example of a successful system integration project we’ve carried out for our customer, see the UAS/McDonalds project.

Full Product Development

Tibbo has the capability to design your entire product for you.

Typically, Tibbo takes on products that can be built around our TiOS- or Linux-compatible hardware, but occasionally we accept projects that have nothing to do with our core business.

Here is the list of product design services we typically provide:

  • Consulting on the best ways of achieving the project’s objective. Ideation, help in working out the future product’s specifications.
  • Industrial design, including the formulation of the product’s “design language.”
  • Mechanical design all the way through to the tooling.
  • Tooling production oversight. We work with reputable, time-tested tooling makers located in Taiwan.
  • Hardware design, including the design of wireless (RF) circuits.
  • Firmware (device application) development, usually in Tibbo BASIC and Tibbo C.
  • Application development for iOS and Android.
  • CE and FCC certification.
  • Creation of product renders for customer's marketing materials.

Please note that we will only develop a product for you if the mass production of this product will later be handled by Tibbo Technology as well.

As an example of a TiOS-based product developed by Tibbo for one of our customers see the Keytroller 601 system.

As an example of a “special case” product that has nothing to do with our core technologies but was interesting enough to compel us to work on it, see the Ergodox-EZ project.

Contract Manufacturing

Contracting us to develop your product means that we will also handle the manufacturing of this product for you*.

Engineering samples and pilot run devices may be produced at our micromanufacturing facility in Taipei. Mass Production will be handled by Gigatek, our Group's contract manufacturing arm.

* If you do not require design services and are just looking for a reputable contract manufacturer to produce your product, then look no further than Gigatek.
